Families in Transition Program

Title XI-A McKinney- Vento: Education for Homeless Chilren and Youth

If your family is experiencing any of the living situations listed above, contact the McKinney-Vento Liaison Melissa Farran.

This program supports students who may be experiencing housing challenges so they can stay enrolled, attend school, and succeed. Once identified, students are entitled to:

  • Immediate enrollment, even without documents

  • Transportation assistance

  • School stability (staying at the school of origin when possible)

  • Access to meals, school supplies, and services

  • Support for participation in school activities
