IMPORTANT UPDATE 4/5/23 6:48 AM - In addition to Declo bus 22-3, the Heglar Canyon route, Declo bus route 17-1, which is the Beet Dump Road, Idahome Road, and Midway Dairy route, and Albion will also have a 2 hour delayed start this morning.

Due to road conditions, Cassia County bus route 22-3, which is the Declo Heglar Canyon bus route for, will be running on a two hour delayed start tomorrow morning, April 5th. Parents with students on this bus route who wish to and are able to take their children to school sooner are welcome to do so. School will begin at the normal time.

If you have questions about this great opportunity, please ask your school administrator, school guidance counselor, or college and career advisor. Parents, please ask your child about their experience!

PARENT ENGAGEMENT SURVEY Below is a link to our annual Parent Engagement Survey that we are asking all parents of students within Cassia County School District to fill out online. This survey is sent out and required by the Idaho State Department of Education each year to all districts in the state of Idaho. Survey results are intended to help us gain feedback and insights about each of our schools. When filling out the survey, please select the school that your child attends from the drop-down menu instead of selecting Cassia County School District itself. If you have students in multiple schools, we ask that you please complete the survey once for each of the schools your children attend. LAST DAY to buy DHS 22-23 YEARBOOKS will be 2/24 (next Friday). This is due to a SPRING delivery! Cost is $60 and can be paid to Mrs. Simkins at DHS.

The Idaho Food Bank Mobile Pantry will be at Minico High School, 292 W 100 S, on February 25th from noon to 2:00pm. The Mobile Pantry Program distributes dry and frozen food to underserved, usually rural, communities. This program helps populations that do not have access to, or have difficulty accessing, food assistance.

Clarifying Statement: The Board of Trustees is constantly looking at ways to improve the educational system in Cassia County and to maximize the educational experience of our students. As a result, rumors often surface about various aspects of education in our district. At this time, the Board of Trustees has not made a decision on the type of schedule to be used for secondary schools throughout the district. They are not prepared to make any decisions regarding the 7-period day or the A/B schedule and will put in the necessary time to do the proper research and seek input prior to making such a decision.

DHS Juniors (11th grade) will be participating in Wreaths Across America on Thursday (12/15) at 10AM at the Declo Cemetery. Please make sure they dress warmly.

CORRECTED DHS General Finals Schedule (January) Thursday (1/5): 2B and 4B Friday (1/6): 2A and 4A - this is a FULL day of school Monday (1/9): 1A and 3A Tuesday (1/10): 1B and 3B; Wednesday: (1/11): COLLEGE ALGEBRA kids will be pulled 3A to complete their final (2 hrs needed). IDLA student Finals - arrange in ADVANCE: Early Fall: the week of Dec. 12-15 Late Fall: the week of Jan. 9-13

Just a reminder that DHS Makeup Time starts tomorrow(12/2), 8AM-12PM. If a student is over 4 absences in a class they need to make up the time to earn the credit (only medical excuses may impacting number). If you have questions reach out to DHS office. (208)654-2030.

Cassia County School District is standing with University of Idaho during this challenging time. Tomorrow (11/30) we are asking students and staff to wear U of I - Black and Gold (or U of I apparel) as a show of support to the college, students, and the families who lost loved ones.

DHS Yearbook reminder: After Nov. 25th Yearbook cost will go up to $55 (currently $50). Also, all Spring sports/activities will be represented in yearbook(insert), nothing will be left out. Thank you!

Attention Parents First Annual State of The School Address DHS Auditorium November 3, 2022 @ 6 PM Mr. Bott will spend a half hour addressing the vision of Declo High. He will try to answer the question “What parents wish they had known when their child enrolled at DHS.” Please come, participate, and ask questions.

DHS Senior Parents: CSI Mini-Cassia Center is holding a FAFSA night on Oct 20th from 5PM-8PM. Interpreters available.
