On Monday, October 31 students may wear their costumes to school. Please remember these guidelines for costumes at school: There can be no masks, gory costumes, or props that can be used as weapons. The school dress code will still apply. Students also need to be able to sit in their seats and do work with their costumes on. Students may wear some face paint, but it must not cover the entire face or need to be re-applied during the day. Parents are invited to attend our school Halloween Parade at 2:30 p.m.

Mountain View Elementary Family Night Dia de los Muertos Tuesday, October 25 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Come when you can and stay as long as you’d like. • Walking Tacos for dinner • Face Painting • Crafts • Book Exchange - Bring a book you no longer want and trade it for a new one. • Ofrenda Memorial - Bring a picture of a loved one who has passed away to display on our ofrenda. "Traditionally in Day of the Dead celebrations, death does not represent an absence but a living presence; death is a symbol of life that materializes in the altar offered. In this sense, it is a celebration that carries great popular importance since it includes various meanings, from philosophical to material. Today, it is celebrated both religiously and secularly to remember our deceased loved ones."

Attention Parents of Cassia Students: 2022-2023 School Registration As we are drawing to the end of this school year, we would like to let you know that the District has chosen a different path for registering students online for the school year (this is only to register for school and not for classes). The last few years the District has used a program by the name of Gateway. Starting in August, our District will start using PowerSchool online registration. Parents will login to their PowerSchool parent accounts to register their students for the 2022-2023 school year. More information will be sent out with end of year report cards in June. We strongly encourage parents to contact the school if they do not know their username or password for their parent PowerSchool login or if they do not have a parent PowerSchool account set up before the last day of school. Also, keep in mind school registration is required every year that a student is attending school and is expected to be completed before the first day of the school of each year. For more information, please contact your school secretary or counselor. Thank you!
