Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

It is once again time to begin planning for the annual Declo Junior High Ski Club.  I have provided the enclosed information in order to inform you of the policies and procedures we will be following this year.  Please read them carefully.  This year we will go as one group. We will be going in January and February. March will be left open for cancellations. We will go a total of 5 times.

Pomerelle has a new system for signing up.  It will all be done online.  Please make sure you follow the directions provided below. You will pay Pomerelle directly for skiing/snowboarding and rentals online.  The busing fee will be paid  separately to  Declo Junior high school.  The bus fee will be turned in with the paperwork needed for the school to Mrs. Johnson.

1. Ski club will take place on Fridays.

January 9,16,23,30  and  February 6..   We will be leaving the school at 12:00 and returning at 8:00.

 2.      The cost to Pomerelle will be $135 ski, rentals  $15 each time ($75), bussing will be $50.  Season pass holders that only need transportation will pay $50

  • This includes lift tickets, ski or boarding lessons and transportation.   Students need to bring a sack lunch, or money to buy dinner at the lodge.  Dinner at the lodge runs between  $15-20 depending on what they buy. All bags, clothes, lunches will have to stay on the bus.  Nothing is allowed in the Lodge again this year.

3. Rental equipment is available at Pomerelle.

Skis, boots, poles, boards are available to rent for $15.  This fee must be  paid online with your ski ticket. This all must be done online. No paperwork….

Please be aware that this program is self-sufficient and receives no money from the school or school district.  Please pay early to ensure your student will be able to go. Once it is full it will not allow you to sign up. We are hoping to fill two buses (120 students).

Bus paperwork and $50 fee must be returned by Wednesday, January 7th.  You also have to be signed up with Pomerelle ski club on Wednesday.

When returning paper please do the following:

  1. Turn in the completed form to Mrs. Johnson in the mornings.   Signed by both the students and the parent or guardian. I only need the last page.  The rest is for you and your student.

If you have any questions, please contact Kim Johnson at Declo Junior High, 208-654-9960, or email me at johkim@cassiaschools.org.  I look forward to another great year of Ski Club!

We will continue to pickup/drop off Albion kids at the bank in Albion around 12:15/7:45. Albion kids need to make sure their equipment is loaded on the bus and not in the trailer on the way home. Parents, please help unload the truck and trailer when it returns.
