Basic Electronic Technology ( Electronics – I )

YEAR. ONE PERIOD/TWO CREDITS or SEMESTER. TWO PERIODS/TWO CREDITS (0501)
PREREQUISITE: Pre-Algebra

Introduction to the fundamentals of DC electronics including: Electrical Theory and Ohm's Law. Students become familiar with basic electronic components such as, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and transistors. Students learn to read and design schematics to create working circuits. Completion of several functioning projects will involve mastery of bread boarding, soldering, troubleshooting, and design. Provides hands on experience for students willing to work hard and take an active part in their education. Excellent preparation for a high demand, high pay career in many exciting technology fields.  Career Technical college credits and internships available.

Intermediate Electronic Technology ( Electronics - II )

YEAR. ONE PERIOD/TWO CREDITS or SEMESTER. TWO PERIODS/TWO CREDITS (0502)
PREREQUISITE: Algebra, and Electronics I

Introduction to the fundamentals of AC electronics including: Wave Theory, RC, RL, and RLC circuits. Students work with Oscilloscopes to diagnose and solve problems; students learn to read and design AC schematics to create working circuits. Completion of several functioning projects require the mastery of bread boarding, soldering, troubleshooting, and design.  Provides hands on experience for students willing to work hard and take an active part in their education. Excellent preparation for a high demand, high pay career in many exciting technology fields. Career Technical college credits and internships available.

Advanced Electronic Technology ( Electronics – III ):

YEAR. TWO PERIOD/FOUR (0503)
PREREQUISITE: Electronics II

This course takes students through the principle of Digital and Signal circuits including: IC's, Boolean theory, Gates, Flip-Flops, D-A, A-D and microprocessors. Students become familiar with several solid state components such as, OP-Amps, 555 times and microcontrollers. Students learn to read and design schematics involving ICs. Completion of several functioning projects involve the mastery of bread boarding, soldering, troubleshooting, and design. Provides hands on experience for students willing to work hard and take an active part in their education. Excellent preparation for a high demand, high pay career in many exciting technology fields.  Career Technical college credits and internships available.
