Hello Raft River Families,
I’m thrilled to have your child in the sixth grade participating in the play this year. The play will take place on December 18 at 9:00 a.m. There will be a dress rehearsal on December 17 at 9:00 a.m. Both performances will take place in the high school auditorium, and admission will be free. After the performance and things are cleaned up and put away, you are welcome to check your child out on December 18 and start their Christmas break a little early.
These kids have been working very hard on this play. I’m so proud of all of them—just a few items of business. Kids will need to find their own costumes. For the elves, I have elf hats, but they will need to wear green and red, and if they want to add a little bit of their own style, they are welcome to do so. Reindeer will need to wear brown. I have reindeer antlers for them. If they have anything they'd like to add to their costume, that is great! All my toys will have to come up with their own costumes. Please discuss with your child the parts they will play and the costumes they will need.
I told the kids that I have a few things in the extra closet they can ask me about, but for the most part, costumes, especially the toys, you will need to provide. I know this time of year is tight, so D.I. is a good option, or making do with what you have. I do not want it to be a hardship for any family that is worried about a costume. Be creative; many things can be done with cardboard, paper, and some color! However, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
My name is Lacey Parke, and my phone number is 208-431-7653
I hope to see you all there.
