USAC Affordable Connectivity Program

✅Check This Out! You May Qualify for Free or Reduced Internet Access at Home!! The Affordable Connectivity Program is a new government program available that provides free or reduced cost internet to families. Even if your family currently has internet, if you qualify this program may pay some or all of your bill (depending on if your provider participates).

To qualify, families must be considered low income, receive food stamps OR other benefits such as Medicaid, WIC, free school lunches, etc.. Documentation of income OR benefits must be submitted to complete qualification. Qualifying documents to meet this requirement include:

  • A letter from the district’s food service department for you family stating that you qualify for free or reduced lunch
  • Documentation of benefits from SNAP, Medicaid, WIC
  • Pay stubs (3 sequential months) or tax returns

(Only one type of verification is necessary)

Additional requirements include Identify Verification (both for the adult applying and the child that makes them eligible). The list of acceptable documents include:

  • Valid government, military, state or Tribal ID
  • Birth Certificate
  • U.S. Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Certificate of U.S. Citizenship or Naturalization
  • Permanent Resident Card or Green Card
  • Government assistance program document
  • Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) document
