Back to School

We've had a great first two weeks here at Mountain View.  Here are a couple of reminders for important things as we look ahead.

There is no school on Monday, September 5 because of the Labor Day holiday.  We will have a full day of school on Friday, September 9 to make up that time.  Buses will run on their normal schedule.

We are all getting back into our school routines.  Here are a few things that were discussed at Back to School Night that will help us keep things running smoothly.

Please make sure you are dropping off your students in the designated drop off zone by the benches in front of the school.  There are three drop off spots painted in that area.  We are trying to keep everyone safe by keeping that area clear for students being dropped off.  If you have any questions about this, there is a map in our student handbook.  The handbook is posted on our website under the "About our School" tab.

Our doors open and teachers are on duty starting at 7:30 each morning.  Please do not bring your students before that time since there is no one here to monitor them.

The first bell of the day is at 8:05 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:10 a.m.  At the end of the day the bell for students who are walking home or getting picked up rings at 3:20 p.m. and the bell for students who ride the bus is at 3:25 p.m.

If you need to get a message to your student before the end of the day, please call the office before 3:00.  It is difficult to get the messages to everyone if you call after that time.

Our school newsletters are posted on our website under the "For Parents" tab.  Please check there for upcoming events and information.

Thank you for all you do to help your students succeed.  We have an amazing Mountain View Family!
