Bell Schedules for the 2026–2027 School Year
As we get ready for a great year at Declo Junior High, we want families to be familiar with our bell schedules! We will have a modified schedule on the first day of school, a shortened schedule on Fridays with early dismissal, and our regular bell schedule on all other school days.
Please take a look at the schedules below so you know what to expect throughout the school year. We’re excited to welcome our Hornets back!

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT 🎉📚
We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for a new school year! Join us on Monday, August 24th to meet teachers, find classrooms, and get ready for the first day of school!
6th Grade | 4:00–4:45 PM
This first 45 minutes is just for our 6th grade students and families! This gives our new 6th graders an opportunity to meet their teachers, find their classrooms, ask questions, and get comfortable with the school before the upper grades arrive.
Sixth grade families can come anytime between 4:00 and 4:45 PM during this special time. If you would prefer a little more one-on-one time with teachers and a quieter experience, we encourage you to take advantage of this time!
All Students | 4:45–6:00 PM
Beginning at 4:45 PM, Back to School Night is open to ALL students and families! Sixth grade families are absolutely welcome to stay or come during this time as well.
We can’t wait to see everyone and kick off another amazing school year!

As we get ready for the 2026–2027 school year, please make sure your student has a current sports physical if required.
Incoming 7th graders:
If your student did not receive a physical in 6th grade, they will need one.
Incoming 8th graders:
If your student received a physical in 7th grade, they are good to go! If their last physical was in 6th grade, they will need a new one.
Need a physical? Urgent Care is offering sports physicals for only $10! ENDS SATURDAY, AUGUST 8TH! 8:00 am until 8:00 pm
Please make sure your student has their physical completed before participating in sports.

Our PTO board includes the roles of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parent Representatives, and we are hoping to fill these positions with parents who are passionate about supporting our school. We especially want to keep our beloved Battle of the Grades tradition going strong, and we’re looking for a team of parents who are excited to help lead the effort.
If you are willing to get involved, even in a small way, please contact the school office. We will be announcing an informational meeting soon for anyone interested in learning more. Thank you for always supporting our students and our school! 🧡💛 Declo is strong because of YOU!
