SNOW DAYS

Dear Parents / Guardians,

Do you remember the excitement of Snow Days? School is called off and it is a magical day of wonder. Well, those days are behind us. Thanks to COVID and online learning, Snow Days are a relic of the not so distant past.

Welcome to Remote Learning Days! No longer will your child be able to go out and play in the snow on snow days, instead they will be glued to a computer or device making sure all of their assignments are completed. (we joke, but just a little!)

We would like to share our plan with you for remote learning days at Albion Elementary.

  • All grade levels will be sending home packets for snow days. One page of reading and one page of math will be required for each snow day - your child can do more if they would like to.

  • Students must turn in their work within 2 days of returning to school to count for attendance. Students that do not turn in work will be counted as absent on the "Snow Day".

  • Teachers will be available to answer questions or help your child during school hours. 8:00am - 4:00pm. Please email or call them.

We also encourage students to read books everyday and especially on a cold and wintery Snow Day!

Thank you,
Principal Ficek and Albion Elementary Staff
