SPARK Afterschool Program


  • Our mission is to provide youth & families educative experiences in a safe, supervised environment to promote positive youth development, exploration, learning, and leadership during out-of-school-time hours. 

    The SPARK Afterschool Program office is located at Declo Elementary, Declo Idaho. 

    We currently provide afterschool services to the following schools:

    • Declo Elementary

    • Declo Jr. High

    • Mountain View Elementary

    • White Pine Elementary

    A typical day of afterschool may include:

    • Nutritious snack

    • Physical activity

    • Homework help & academic tutoring

    • Enrichment activities

    • Leadership opportunities

    • Service-learning

    • Social-Emotional Learning

    Program Operations for School Year 2021-2022:

    • Online Registration for SPARK: Tuesday, August 10, 2021

    • Program Starts: Monday, September 13, 2021- March 31, 2022

    • Operation: Monday-Thursday 3:20-6:20 pm, no program on Fridays

We are excited to announce that Cassia County School District and the SPARK Afterschool Program has submitted an intent to apply for Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC Grant funds to include Burley Jr. High, Dworshak, and John V. Evans in the 2022-2023 School Year!

SPARK Registration

We are so excited to announce that SPARK Afterschool will resume on September 13, 2021!

Registration for the SPARK Afterschool Program will open on August 10, 2021.

Flyers and applications are available during school registration.


The first day of SPARK is set for Monday, September 13, 2021. You will be contacted by a staff member before the start date. SPARK Afterschool will follow the Cassia School District plan and policies.
