I am a 1988 graduate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Business Administration. After college, I continued my career in the hospitality industry managing with Marriott Corporation and Ram International. In 1997 I completed the requirements to become a teacher and spent 17 years working in alternative schools. I became certified in Family and Consumer Science in 2003 and feel my education and industry experience help me bring a unique perspective to the classroom. My emphasis is on aquisition of soft skill as well as industry-specific skills, both of which students need for success on the job.
