A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I am from Burley, born and raised here. I formerly was Brandi James. I graduated in 2004 from BHS. I lived in southeast Idaho for 7 years while I commuted to Idaho State pursuing my bachelors in Secondary Education. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education with a major in English and a minor in Business Education. During my time at ISU, I was a member of the honors society Kappa Delta PI where I served as vice president for two years and president for one year. After graduating, I was granted a Graduate Assistantship to pursue a masters in Education with an emphasis in Literacy. By the time I was working on my masters, I had been blessed with 4 children.
A year later I found myself teaching Business Education in Buhl. Wanting to be closer to home and desiring to teach in my major, I applied at Burley and happily was hired. I have been teaching 9th and 10th English Language Arts here now since 2013. I love it. In 2019, I completed my Masters in Education.
PHILOSOPHY ON EDUCATION
I believe that students have to want to learn. It doesn't matter how much I try to teach, if they do not have the desire to learn, they won't. I try to start my students off by making it about what they want to accomplish in the classroom and not about what I want.
IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO LEARN, NO ONE CAN HELP YOU...
IF YOU ARE DETERMINED TO LEARN, NO ONE CAN STOP YOU!
