My dad was in the Air Force, so I lived in many places...in fact, I attended 10 schools up through 12th grade! I was born in England, and have also lived in: Ogden, Utah; San. Angelo, Texas; San Vito, Italy; San. Antonio, Texas; and Warner Robins, Georgia. My family and I moved to Malta in 2000 and have loved it ever since! We have 5 children: CJ, Tawni, H.D., Alexis, and Austin.
I graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with intentions of going back to school to become a school councelor. After moving to Malta, I worked as a behavior specialist for Healthy progressions in Rupert and Burley for a year, substituted at RRHS and RRE, and then started working at Raft River Elementary School as a para educator in 2002...the same year that the class of 2015 started kindergarten!
While working as a paraeducatior, I fell in love with Special Education and decided to go back to school. I enrolled at Idaho State University in 2008 and started the Para to teacher program. I graduated in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Exceptionality with cerification in Generalist special education k-12 and then recieved my certification in early childhood/special education blended birth - 3rd grade in 2014.
I am currently teaching special education pre k through 7th grade and absolutely love it! There is not a better place for me to work or for my children to attend school than our Raft River Schools!
