• Welcome back!    We are excited to begin another wonderful year here at Dworshak Elementary.  A couple of thoughts as we start the year:

The first few days of school you will receive a great deal of information from the school and your child's teacher. Please review this information and complete any information that needs to be returned to school.

This year sees the addition of grades four through six here at Dworshak.  In addition, the Kindergarten readiness program and Pre-school are now part of our family.

Inevitably, change requires the need for flexibility. In addition to adding the extra grades, we have adopted a new English Language Curriculum and are in the fourth year of using our Envision Math program.  I encourage you to contact your child’s teacher about the curriculum and become involved in your child’s education.  The best indicator of student success is parent involvement.  Together we can ensure the academic and social success of our students.

Establishing good attendance habits and helping your child become more successful in            academic pursuits is a goal we share.  In stressing the importance of education to your   child, please emphasize that regular attendance is necessary for success.

Our regular school day is 8:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Late arrival and/or early pick-up cause the students to miss valuable instruction time.   Should your child need to miss school, please contact our office and then make the necessary arrangements to pick up missed schoolwork to be completed.

Our goal is to provide a safe environment for everyone. Please check in and out at the office when visiting our school.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. A strong partnership between school and home is necessary to help children achieve success. Together we will make a difference.
