About Ms. Campos

  • I was born and raised here in the Mini-Cassia area.  I graduated from Minico in 1997.  I have 4 wonderful children: Anthony (18 ), Vanessa (18), Ysabelle (17), and Arron (10).  I have been in education for over 15 years.  My career started at Minidoka County School District.  I joined the Cassia School District Federal Programs Office in 2014. I now enjoy teaching ESL at Burley High School.

Teaching English as a Second Language is so much more than teaching a "language".  It is about embracing different cultures and academic backgrounds.  I have students in class from 3 different countries.  Some students were even born in the United States, left, and have returned to the U.S. as teenagers. It is important to realize that learning a new language is just the icing on the cake for an already intelligent mind. Speaking another language is not a disability! Learning something new always involves emotions.  In my ESL classes we debate, we get frustrated, we learn, and we laugh.  I am here to build confidence in my students so they can go out into the world and succeed.

  • "The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; and the willingness to learn is a choice." -Brian Herbert
