Principal's Pitch

  • August 29, 2018

    Dear Parents,

Welcome back to school! Our teachers and students have wasted no time jumping into learning.

I would like to address two items in this short letter. First, many of you are aware of Declo Elementary’s Kindness Campaign. When you come to volunteer, you will be asked to hand out Kindness tokens to those students and faculty you see showing kindness. Your students will also be earning kindness tokens throughout the day. If you haven’t noticed let me just come out and say it. Our focus is KINDNESS in our school. Everything you can do to support this aim is very much appreciated.

Second, I would like to plead with you. Please, do everything in your power to bring your students to school on time and to let them finish the day without disruption. We are very aware that Dr. Appointments and family emergencies take priority, but too many times we let other things get in the way of seat time. Too many students find themselves failing subjects and in the position of being retained in their grade levels because they simply didn’t get the opportunity to be in school consistently.

Thank you for all that you do to help your children! From the bottom of my heart, you inspire me and I love Declo’s Parents!!!!!

    Kevin Lloyd
