School Announcements

  • Our school is implementing Schoolwide Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, with support from the Rural K-12 Research Project (RK-12). RK-12 is a collaboration of the Idaho Positive Behavior Network and professors in the College of Education at Boise State University.
We would like to learn more about what you think about the climate at Declo Elementary. School climate includes your feelings about the safety, relationships, and learning environment at your child’s school. This is an opportunity for parents to give their input on how to improve our school. Your answers will be used to help make the school a better place for students to learn.
All of your responses on this survey are anonymous and can't be linked to you in any way. Because we don’t know who answers the survey, we will not be able to tell your child’s teachers or anyone else about your individual answers to these questions. The data from your survey will be aggregated with other responses and reported back to the school in summary format. It will also be used in research about school strategies to improve climate.
The survey takes most parents less than 10 minutes to complete. You are free to skip any questions you do not want to answer.
Please click on the tab "For Parents" and then click on the "PBIS Survey" Surveys need to be completed by Friday, May 3rd.

Principal's Pitch

  • August 29, 2018

    Dear Parents,

Welcome back to school! Our teachers and students have wasted no time jumping into learning.

I would like to address two items in this short letter. First, many of you are aware of Declo Elementary’s Kindness Campaign. When you come to volunteer, you will be asked to hand out Kindness tokens to those students and faculty you see showing kindness. Your students will also be earning kindness tokens throughout the day. If you haven’t noticed let me just come out and say it. Our focus is KINDNESS in our school. Everything you can do to support this aim is very much appreciated.

Second, I would like to plead with you. Please, do everything in your power to bring your students to school on time and to let them finish the day without disruption. We are very aware that Dr. Appointments and family emergencies take priority, but too many times we let other things get in the way of seat time. Too many students find themselves failing subjects and in the position of being retained in their grade levels because they simply didn’t get the opportunity to be in school consistently.

Thank you for all that you do to help your children! From the bottom of my heart, you inspire me and I love Declo’s Parents!!!!!

    Kevin Lloyd
