Cassia County School District is working to meet the needs of our children in a number of ways. These unprecedented times have caused us to look for additional tools that keep students connected to positive messages of hope and resilience. Strong emotional health helps all students reach their potential as caring, contributing and responsible friends, family members, coworkers and citizens. Our district seeks to support students and families in comprehensive ways.
For students in grades 7-12, we have partnered with SchoolPulse to support encouragement through weekly inspirational messages that come to your child and you, if you opt in, through text messages. The messages provide skills for coping with daily challenges and promote productive skills for communication and relationships. This tool is intended to strengthen a student's built-in support system along with encouraging personal resilience.
This program is optional and is only accessed if someone opts in. There are no passwords or logins and it is free. Phone numbers and responses are completely confidential and anonymous and will not be used or shared for any reason.
Students, families, and teachers, are dealing with a broad range of personal difficulties that may be causing distress and some issues take more time and more specific help. The district continues to encourage students and families to reach out to our school counselors or utilize our Connect program (1-800-926-9619), when needed. SchoolPulse is a complement to other resources for students and families. The district encourages you to utilize your benefits through the district's EAP.
If you have specific questions, please contact your school counselor.
Students and parents can opt-in starting October 8. To subscribe, text DECLOHS to 78573 and your child (and you) will immediately gain access to positive content.
