Declo Elementary School will release at 12:30p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 for Teacher Professional Development. The bus schedules will be adjusted accordingly.
Schools across Idaho are participating in a statewide parent engagement survey. This survey gives you the chance to share your input on several topics to help measure how Cassia schools are doing in meeting your needs.
The survey only takes a few minutes and your responses are anonymous. They will be critical in helping us identify opportunities to maximize satisfaction, engagement, and communication.
You only have until May 17 to respond!
Survey questions are provided below for your review prior to taking the actual survey.
When you click the actual survey link, scroll down and select the school. If you have more than one student at schools in Cassia, please take the survey for each school!
The State Department of Education’s revamped K-12 Report Card is available online, providing a user-friendly way for parents, educators and others to access information about schools and districts throughout the state. Part of the state’s new accountability system, the new site provides information about multiple student performance indicators, offering context in addition to the data.
You can access the report card online at idahoschools.org or click on the link above under Resources.
Welcome back to school! Our teachers and students have wasted no time jumping into learning.
I would like to address two items in this short letter. First, many of you are aware of Declo Elementary’s Kindness Campaign. When you come to volunteer, you will be asked to hand out Kindness tokens to those students and faculty you see showing kindness. Your students will also be earning kindness tokens throughout the day. If you haven’t noticed let me just come out and say it. Our focus is KINDNESS in our school. Everything you can do to support this aim is very much appreciated.
Second, I would like to plead with you. Please, do everything in your power to bring your students to school on time and to let them finish the day without disruption. We are very aware that Dr. Appointments and family emergencies take priority, but too many times we let other things get in the way of seat time. Too many students find themselves failing subjects and in the position of being retained in their grade levels because they simply didn’t get the opportunity to be in school consistently.
Thank you for all that you do to help your children! From the bottom of my heart, you inspire me and I love Declo’s Parents!!!!!
